I've been lifting weights lately, but i'm not seeing much results.. even if i workout pretty hard. I think it's due to my diet and a variety of other things.

Well, i'm pretty skinny for a 17 yr old. 60 kg (132 lbs), 180cm tall. and want to get to at least 70 kg (154lb).. with muscle increase. My body fat is basically non existant, easily less that 5% id say.

Have pretty small joints, e.g wrists.. which i think will limit the amount of muscle i can put on also.. what do you think?

1) I read somewhere you have to eat 1.2 - 1.4 x protein of your weight.. is that right?

2) Also.. i'm currently a vegetarian.. but i want to start eating meat again sometime. At the moment what kind of foods should i eat? eggs?..

3) How long after eating can I start exercise, or can you immediately start lifting after a meal?

4) How long is it recommended to work out for per session? And are heavy weights with small reps better? because it feels more intense with lighter weights and lots of reps.. but i'm not sure how that all works.

5) After working a bodypart would i need to rest that area for a day..or can i repeat the same thing the next day?

6) How much protein should i eat per day to gain some muscle/weight?

Thanks for any replies.

1 its a good start. you might need to up it or lower it depending on how it works for you. also i belive that is per/lbs but in kg you should look in the area of 2-2,5 g/kg for a start.

2eggs,milk,lentils, do you eat fish?? proteinpowder is probably a good idea to for you.

3 it depends on if you feel comfortable lifting immidetly or if you just wanna throw up. the energy has not gotten out in your muscles after 2 minutes tough.

6 gaining muscle is not just about eating protein. carbs and fats play an important role to so eat a varitey of good healthy foods.
