Born To Stand Out
Hi everyone!

I just joined this forum and I am really interested in learning about var and the proper use.

I am 5'1. 115 pounds but i don't know my bf% but i know that i lack muscle haha. I carry weight around my stomach but have chicken legs and arms.. My current goal is to get leaner and tone and get more muscle in my legs and arms.

For the last six months, up until about a month ago my diet was horrible, eating tons of junk food and nothing healthy maybe the occasional fruit (but i still maintained my 115 lbs and no exercise). But a month ago i cut out most junk food (no bread and low carbs)

ex day(eating every 2-3 hours):
protien shakes for extra protien (totalling approx. 100g)
2 chicken breast/ lean meat
5 servings of fruit/veggies
6 bottles of water

my weekly exercise routien is 1-1.5 hour of cardio a day (elliptical, turbo kickboxing, tredmill ect.) 45 mins of weight training (1 day legs, 1 day tri/shoulder, 1 day bis/back). this is done 5-6 days a week. and stretching everyday for 20 mins

so basically my questions are:
1- am i eating properly (or on the right track) to loose fat and gain more muscle?
2- is my exercise routien correct/proper?
3- how much longer should i wait before starting a cycle of var at 5-10mg a day? will i see the results i want? is var the right Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) for me?

Thank you all for your time!

welcome to ology! Its great to have you here!

My first suggestion is to use the search function and you can make it so it searches strictly the women's forum... there are soooo many posts from various women on the very questions you asked, that you may just find the answer you are looking for...
If you still have specific questions you need answered, by all means, ask away.. i am sure one of the women here will be happy to answer :)
as they will probably chime in on this thread too..

again, welcome aboard and hope you'll participate as often as you can.

luv super

Indeed, welcome! :)

Here's my reply that I hope will help somewhat:

First of, it is very difficult to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. It's better to set your goal in one direction as oppose to two different directions. So, really, it's a matter of "do I want to focus on gaining muscle or losing fat?" It's up to you. I suggest that you find out what your bf % is, so that you can use that to help determine what your goal should be. If it's above 16%, then maybe you should focus on losing bodyfat. If it's below 16%, then you should focus on building some muscle to your frame.

May I ask as to how long you have been lifting? The reason I ask, is because it's not really necessary for someone who hasn't been lifting for at least a year and a half (consistently ;-) to do a steroid cycle. Why? Well, you may have great genetic potential to build some muscle naturally before you go the chemical route. Like, for me, I'm 5'4", and when I started I was 109 lbs at 16% bf. Now, two years later, I am 143 lbs at about 13.5% bf. So far, I haven't touched a steroid. That's not to say that I'm not ever going to in the future, but I want to see how far my body can go w/o steroids before my body hit's it's 'biological plateau.' It's your decision, m'dear, but I just want you to know that all of this can be without the use of steroids, in terms of losing some fat or gaining muscle. (Plus, var is more for strength. Primo and Clen might be better, but correct me if I'm wrong people!).

In terms of your new diet: Looks decent to me, chica! Remember to get between 1-2 grams of protein per body lb when you want to maintain/build muscle.

Your routine: Be careful on doing more than 60 mins of cardio a day if you care about your body going into a catabolic state (when the body starts feeding on it's own muscle as an energy source due to the lack of nutritional resources. In simple terms: STARVATION MODE). Maybe shoot for around 30-45 mins for now, or sip on some whey protein when you workout. You seem to have the split idea down, but are you working your chest? It's improtant to work every major muscle group, not only for proportion's sake, but for stabilities sake as well. You didn't mention what types of exercises you're doing, but I know that the best possible exercises to incorporate for gaining muscle are 1)Bench Press 2)Deadlifts 3) SQUATS (works 1/3 of your muscles).

Now, unfortunately, I can't give you my input on a goal for gaining muscle AND losing fat. You'll have to determine your goal first. It might be, for example, focus on gaining muscle for 4-6 weeks or so, then spend about 4 weeks trying to lean out. I've found that it works best for me, and I don't gain much fat while in my 'muscle-building' phase or lose too much muscle while leaning-out. But, just try to find what works best for you by trail and error.

A little side note and food for thought for you: 1 lb of muscle burns about 25 extra calories. What does this mean? Muscle determines you metabolism. That means that when you build muscle, it will be easier for you to keep your bf lower. Plus, you'll look more toned. So, I hope that this is somewhat helpful and just remember to take everything a step at a time. Many little goals make it easier to meet the big one!

First off welcome!!!! Nice to have another lady!

Queen has made some good points. Find out your bodyfat first off. At 115 pounds I'm gonna guess it's not going to be that high.

I think you should pack on some muscle first. I think you should be eating at least 1850-2100 calories to do that. I would make half of those cals protein and the other half healthy carbs and fats. I'm guessing your bottles of water are 500 mL? If that's the case your water intake is good....even go higher if you want!

I would make sure you get lots of veggies but watch the fruit intake....maybe no more than 150 cals per day.

To gain muscle cut back on the cardio to 3-4 days per week. Weight train 4-5 days per week. I suggest back/bis, shoulders/hamstrings, quads/calves and triceps/chest. Go low reps and heavy. Build that muscle up!!! Keep up the stretching....that's important!

Don't fret too much about fat loss....build up a bit of muscle first...you may experience what is known as the "newbie" affect. You will lose some fat and gain some muscle. Either way at 115 pounds I'm sure you don't look overly gross or overweight!

Aas may be for you in the future but DEFINATELY NOT NOW. You are too inexperienced at training properly. I would wait at least a year and do proper training and nutrition for results. Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) should be used more for last resort purposes.

I'm in the same boat as Queenie.....I am open to using in the future but I want to see how far I can come naturally! I believe everybody should try to give it their best naturally before Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) use.

Good luck and keep us updated with your progress!
