I started a new diet today hoping to cut, and reduce alot of body fat.. however I am always so hungry and feel I need about triple the food, is this bad? should I eat more or what? It looks like this

Meal 1- 3 eggs/ 1/2 cup oatmeal/ flaxseed pill
Meal 2- Protein bar
Meal 3- chicken strips
Meal 4- Protein bar, 25 g protein shake
Meal 5- 2 Boneless, Skinless chicken breats/ yams/ 1/2 cup oatmeal
Meal 6- 25 g protein shake and flaxseed pill

First, tell me what you think of the diet for cutting purpouses, and also I get very hungery on 3rd meal... I go to college and eat cafeteria and Im restricted between regular lunch of the day, or cheesburgers, or the ale carte choice of the day... so for my 3rd meal would cheesburgers or pizza, or chicken strips be fine???

What you did is pretty much cut your calories but substituting protein for carbs. What your body ends up doing is releasing a hormone that's responsible for maintaining that hunger, and the result is constant thinking of food, and oh does it taste ever so good when you cut those calories.

What I did for the summer is just cut my calories in half, which are mostly carbs. What you did is substitute those calories for protein calories, therefor cutting your calorie intake in half. More expensive, same result. IMO Now I'm gonna go eat and get fat, winter is coming.

you need more carbs, alot more. 6 meals is too many too, eat about 4 or 5 instead. chicken strips are NOT ok, they are fried and a shit ton of shitty calories.

how much do you weigh? if youre about 200lbs your maintenance calories to stay the same weight is about 2500 not including excercise. i find that if you eat your maint calories and add 45min to an hour of cardio you will drop just fine.

if you get that 2500kcal from complex carbs, lean meats, and LOTS of veges then you will feel pretty full and satiated.

One can maintain just fine at 1500 cal/day if they're on Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) @ over 200lbs.

Why maintain calories if he wants to drop bodyfat? Shouldnt he cut his calories instead?

1500kcal a day is starvation for most men in my opinion. i cant even go below 2000 with ephedra without total exhaustion and binging. most do not have the discipline to diet that hard and are far more successful with a more moderate approach.

im suggesting he eats at maint kcal (example 2500) and uses cardio to create a caloric deficit. 45 min a day can burn over 500 which is a lb of fat a week...and pretty easy to do.
