I am a mom of 2 i have been on sort of a strict diet, protein shake in the morning, tuna for lunch and something light for dinner. I have been working my butt off at the gym for the last 3 months and i have only lost 3 pounds. Please give me some advice as to what else i can do.

wow it sounds like you're not eating enough at all. your body is could possibly holding onto as much body fat as it possibly can because your not eating enough.

I would definitely eat a little more and also get your thyroid checked for safe measures. You might want to hit up 3J here in the diet forum as he is the guru when it comes to this stuff.

If your working your butt off at the gym it's safe to say your diet isn't good. I would recommend going to a nutritionist and getting everything in check. You don't need to limit yourself or go on a strict diet to loose weight or whatever the goal is. Get some professional help because googling online will only raise more questions. Good luck

the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) diet things a little shaky to me, you have to have a super low cal diet and that alone is what causes the fat to fall off, save the cash and try some high intensity interval training, Google "sprint 8" and give that 10 weeks along with following up as described above for nutrition

She asked about HGH, not HCG. But to answer her question, I wouldn't touch the GH until you figure out your diet and metabolism.

figure out metabolism? It used to be high metabolism after first child of course i was 25 but i pulled the weight straight off...but now that i have had my second one i dont know what the deal is. I try to eat around 1200 calories a day.

Well, there could be a couple of things. You might not be getting in enough calories. Try upping the calories a tad and try to eat every 2-3 hours. I usually do 5-6 small meals per day. Lastly, get your thyroid checked and let us know your TSH, Free T3, Free T4. Also see if you can check all your hormones such as testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, etc. There might be a slight possibility that you are hypothyroid or you have some other hormonal imbalances going on. That can prevent you from the weight loss. In the mean time, eat clean and make sure you are getting in cardio everyday, etc. Like I said, it would be a sound investment to hit up 3J in our diet forum here. He could help you out greatly.

How old are you now and how old is your second child? I have two kids also, ages almost 7 and almost 1 1/2. I'm over 30 and do notice changes in how my body reacts to what I do, if your second baby is like mine then sleep issues could be huge. My son often wakes at night and I have to go through a day having had as little as 3 hours sleep, working, housework, looking after the kids, being a wife, and finding time to workout. Takes its toll! Women without kids wont understand these challenges and they are very real. Make sure you eat nutrient dense food and more than 1200 calories. You need the energy for your babies and yourself!!

Don't be too hard on yourself, the body does change after children and we have to accept that. You can still look great and do awesome things, make sure your workouts are intense and that way you justify your nutrient rich food. Good luck.

Yo ladies I know this chix and she is one bad honey super mom, super wife, please give her all the advice and help you can. I try to tell she is goddam sexy but she just think I'm bull shitting her lol

Thank you Cowboyman! Im 28 i have a 3 year old and a 3 month old...so ya the whole sleep issue probably plays a huge part in it. I just bought insanity workout and have started it and let me tell you im one sore momma....I just want to tone up and well lose probably around 10 lbs or so.

So...if you are only having three meals a day, you are definitely in need of a more structured diet that consists of WAY more calories, protien, carbs, healthy fats and nutrients. I know, from experience, that the body will adapt to a low calorie diet if its not getting enough food and will HOLD absolutely everything.

Are you breast feeding at all? That takes a lot of energy and needs food!! The point is working out is the easy part, the hardest part is sticking to a healthy eating plan that suits your goals and body type. I have the body type that needs a good amount of carbs and healthy fats to function. I know that from my years of trying different things to get competition ready. If you visit 3j in the diet section he can give some real good advice. Even if you're not breast feeding, you'll need to eat properly, two kids under 5 is a handful! Good luck.
