Newbie question

Maybe, Like I said, I'm not a good judge. Where did you get your numbers? Were they calipers or a dip tank?

I know a few guys here are much better at this than I am. Hopefully one of them will stop by.

Back to your OP, Are you planning to run a cycle or just asking out of curiosity?
Well before I started lifting (I provided the pic) I went to the gym and they gave me a free session with a personal trainer. He took me to a machine where it weighed me and gave lean body mass, body fat % and a bunch of other stuff. He told me I was at 7. Im saying 9 now just by guessing but I could be wrong. And as far as running a cycle Im planning on doing a test only cycle after another year of lifting naturally. Just here to get info until then

I think the problem with your BF estimates is that you don't have much muscle mass underneath which is altering your perception a bit. At 7% muscular or not one would expect much more vascularity in you (around the forearms especially). I just don't see that. We're are you getting your BF estimates from? Being measured or just guessing?

The 7% came from a free session with a personal trainer in the gym. He made me step on a machine which calculated it. The current 9% Im just guessing.

Those scales that give BF estimate are worthless for the actual numbers but can be helpful in tracking changes only. Example: it said you started at 7% and finished a bulk at 13%. The numbers themselves while not accurate would give you an indication that you gained around 6% BF. I hope that makes sense: you can use them to track progress and changes but NOT to rely on the actual number as a BF estimate.

Edit* I think you're making a very wise decision in holding off on AAS for a little while longer. Use this time to bulk at a mild caloric surplus and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve before you hop on AAS. You'll have a much better foundation when you do cycle.

Lol my whole life is a lie!!! But I had no idea that the machines weren't good at pinpointing. I saw the pic Rumpy put before too but I thought the machine couldnt be wrong. And yes I dont think its a good idea to go on AAS until I can prove to myself I can make training and dieting a lifestyle rather than just a side thing for at least another year.

I think it's a sign of zombie apocalypse but yea I can't believe it...OP is actually listening. Good call 2Gains. You've shown you've got the mental side down now just work your ass off with training and diet and get the physical down and you'll be ready
