No energy

I'm only in my second week of working out after a long lay off and my workouts really havent been all that great. I have had absolutely no energy. I've been trying to eat alot more and get more sleep cause I was thinking maybe that was the cause but it doesn't seem to he really working. Anyone got any ideas on what the deal is?

You said you eat a lot more, what does your diet consist of? you might just need to to let your body get reacustomed to workingout if its been that long of a layoff.

also just starting back its very easy to get to enthusiastic and overtrain which will leave you tired with no energy

I've basically been trying to get a lot of protein in my diet with moderate carbs (most of my carbs come from whole wheat bread). Usually for breakfast I try to just have a protein shake but I'll admit a lot times I don't eat any breakfast. For lunch maybe a turkey sandwich on whole wheat, a pre workout protein shake with a scoop of creatine. A post workout protein shake (2 scopes of protein in each shake = about 40g of protein). Then I try to have some lean chicken breast or sometimes som pasta with meat sauce if I feel like I need some extra carbs but I don't wanna loose any of that protein. And that is basically my diet. I'm definitely still learning what I need to be eating to bulk up and lean out as well. Please critique my diet as much as possible definitely needing some constructive criticism.

Is always hard going back after a lay off, but I suspect your lack of energy is more diet related.
First mistake is skipping breakfast. I would suggest taking a high quality multi vitamin and mineral as well if you're not already.
Look around the web and you will find some good nutrition plans.

Judging strictly by what you detailed that you eat, I'd say that you are probably getting just over half of the calories you need. Up the kcal intake, and start taking a good multi (e.g. NOT centrum or mega men) and you should see some improvement in energy.

Exactly. and if that dont help over the next couple weeks maybe you should see a physician. Keep us informed

this and your not eating enough -- you need to rethink your diet bro

Well could someone give me an idea of what my diet should really be like? I don't want to eat too much because I am trying to lean out a little bit. I'm basically just tryimg to eat a lot of protein. Help me out please.

Well, I personally take Theragran M. Centrum is just crap, and MegaMen by GNCrap is, if nothing else, exceptionally overpriced. Any old multi will do, it's just your opinion and preference really.
