No references instead I was sent to a forum.

Exactly what the title says. I know the rules and won't get into detail.The board I was sent to endorse's them (go figure) but its also an open board which is kinda sketchy. I would like to really check with references instead of seeing a few posts that say good to go.
I know this is only like my third post and I know the vets hate newbs asking stupid questions. I've searched and read Eastos sticky on source checks.(Very helpful) I know as a rule of thumb no references=scammer. In this case I'm not sure.

So I edited your Thread because your asking to get scammed. Welcome to the site. Hang out and make some friends. That is the only way your going to get answers to questions like this from people you can trust. I'd say some where between 200-300 post and you will know what is what.

I'll simplify.
I asked for references from a site and they told me to go to the open source board I was refering to in my post (OM).
They didn't provide direct references.
Drock I'm not asking for references or a source. I wanted to know if that seemed fishy.
