noob weight training.. year long bulk

Charles Bronson

old timey gentleman
played around over the holidays/ winter off season with high volume medium weight..

did this bro split, chest tris - back bis - shoulders arms.

i only hit my arms twice a week, second time i would work arms was limited to only a few sets with shoulders

lately been looking at lifting on the heavy side ( 6-10 reps to failure/ warm up + 3 sets)

low volume ( maybe 6 -8 sets total per body part)

but with high frequency ( each body part 2x weekly)

push pull leg day, with progressive overload taking one full day off a week..

without crushing cardio like I'm used to ( boxing) i think my recovery will be ok.. have to feel it out. but the short workouts/ high intensity and frequency kind of match my habits.. like the idea of everyday in the gym, would fit well with my short attention span and intensity.

open to advice here, admittedly I'm new to this.. know everyone is different and has to find what works for them - just think this might be a good starting point for me to fall into the weight gym lifestyle, with consistency and clear progression week to week..

thanks for any help in advance, charley b

I'm always changing it up but this is a favorite of mine. Squats and military mon. Chest and back wed. Arms and calves fri.

thanks mike, they say to change it uo every few weeks or so, to keep your body guessing..

I'm just thinking I'm an " everyday" kind of guy.. and going to be easy for me to over do this shit, especially at first

Oh ya I hear you man. I used to be in the gym seven days a week 3 hours a day too. Hopefully some other dudes will ride by and throw some more combinations in there. I'm interested in trying some out too.
