Noobie here... need a little advice...

How's it going? First time poster here.

Little backstory - I've been pretty active my whole life, playing sports throughout middle and high school. Once I got to college, my first 2 years I drank a lottt of beer and my activity level went way down. Needless to say I'm not in the same shape I used to be.

My specs are 6 ft 1.5 inch 185 lbs (sorry, no pics). Semi-athletic build with a tiny belly and small love handles. I recently had to withdraw from college because of a family sickness, so now I'm gonna be home for around 6 months with nothing to do...

So I joined a gym and decided its time to get in shape for good. I definitely want to get stronger and get bigger - but most importantly I want to slim my inner section (love handles, belly).

So, I was wondering what you would suggest for a workout plan. I know asking for specifics may be too lengthy, but some basic idea of what to do during certain days of the week would be helpful. I figure cardio is pretty important considering I want to lose that weight in the middle - I've been running around 5 days a week for the past month.

I don't mind learning. I got the time. If you have a link that could help me out, that would be fine to.

I'm gonna be making a post in the diet forum as well to get some help in that dept. Thanks for any advice!
