Not on a cycle yet, but was looking to get some advice as to if it would be needed. Before any suggestions Ill give you guys a background so info can be accurate.

I have been lifting for 10yrs on and off and decided last yr November 2012 when I reached 300 lbs and was at 28% BF that I needed to make a change. I started out doing a lot of cardio and heavy weight training combined with good eating habits. I have been doing this for 11 months now and am now down to 234 lbs and 19% BF height 6'1 at age 27. My nutrition is as followed. I eat at a 640 calorie deficit, taking in 2540 calories/day My macros are 40% protein, 30% carbs and 30% fats. I just started eliminating carbs from my last meal. Im trying to get down to 11% BF for a cruise in March should I just continue on the path I have been taking? Or up things a notch?

Congratulations on the terrific progress so far! That's quite a a accomplishment. I too have spent time in Rochester, it's a beautiful area.

If I were you I'd diet down more naturally before hopping on a cycle. Side effect management will be a bit more difficult at that body fat percentage and there's plenty of room to keep cutting naturally. Once you get into the mid to low teens BF%, that would be a better time to start. In the meantime I suggest to keep learning and reading to prepare yourself for a cycle :)

Thanks to both of you guys for the quick replies. I will continue to read for when I do get lower in BF %. I'm a big reader cause my security jobs entails that I do almost nothing lol. Always good to get a second opinion tho before going forth with anything. I had just hit that plateau and was seeking other ways of breaking through, but with your encouragement I'm sure i can peak through. Thanks again guys. And next time you in the Roc let me know. They just built a new L.A Fitness up here and its the shit!!

Dre what do you think about using clen to help with some of fat loss till cycling is available.

Clen is one tool you could use but without diet and training it won't make a bit of difference. Do a search under my name and look for a thread I made called "Austinite's Fst loss stack". Much safer, less sides, and very effective. Bottom line though: diet is key and without it no progress will be made. If you e reached a plateau I suggest making a thread in the diet section and myself, 3J (diet mod and nutritionist), and many others can give you tweaks for the diet!

Just checked this out bro. I have the green tea already, just missing the other two. I will give it a look over when i come from the gym tonight. I also have been taking a fish oil and cla pill 3x a day. I'll try and get my meal plan in that nutrition page you were telling me about.

its so refreshing to see a member actually put their diet first... great work you put yourself at the right caloric intake and did it right...

90% of the members here do not understand the importance of diet before anything else... the OP is a prime example of how far it can take you.. we have to remember that many members here are not in bodybuilding shape.. they came here to get help in reaching that goal but put too much of an importance on compounds thinking its a magic pill...

again, great work.. get in the diet section lets tweak your diet

For that stack you want EGCG specifically not just green tea. Green tea contains very little EGCG and with the amount you need, it's more efficient to supplement with it directly instead of green tea.

I second what 3J said. You and Armed and Dangerous are great examples of fixing diet issues before hopping in gear. That is refreshing to see.

Hey, I'm in Rochester too! Keep up the cardio, research a lot and if you decide to run a cut cycle in the future just PM me if you can't find any legit gear. Where is the new LA fitness?...on Ridge Rd?
