not sore anymore?

lately at the gym i have been getting great gains as a have just started training after a year out. only problem is after three months and steady gains i am no longer sore for more than a day. my recovery has never been this fast. my question is since i took a year off being the first time i ever took more than two weeks off for training did my body get a well deserved rest or should i hit the gym even harder. i guess im just confused that im at 90% of my old strength but probably ony 60-70% of my old physique.
 
Said it before and I'll say it again - Soreness is NOT an indicator of growth or gains. Only way to measure those are by numbers on the bar and looking in the mirror.
