NY rules for the purchease of Insulin?

Recently I was informed by someone that they were unable to purchese slin in NY because multiple pharmacists insisted they produce some kind of proof that they were truely diabetic,

anyone else heard this or know what the rules for NY are?

not sure what they are. i can go in the local pharm. and purchase slin though. no questions asked

It is 100% legal for you to purchase insulin without a script in New York. At the same time, a pharmacist can choose not to sell it to you if he thinks its being used for reasons other than directed. In other words, if you're a 230 lb. monster walking in to cvs to buy slin, they just might not want to sell it to you.

I have had some of the type 2 meds(metf,glip) but I steer clear of insulin. Just say you're picking it up for your Grandma.

Natty........get your FATTEST friend to go it up for you! Diabetics (that are so bad that glucaphage/metformin/glucovance are not options) are typically OBESE! (more believable)

You can always do a search on the net too, I gaurantee you find an online Pharm that will distribute slin w/NO prob.

yup and you can also get pins from an online pharm which you cant get at a regular pharm, not to mention humalog wich is script only

I was told was legal to buy human type "R" behinf the couter I doubted it.
My 2 friends both 250+ lbs said Walmart Walgreens no problems.
I took one w/me right after working out in summer all jacked with muscle tops on and asked type "R" human slin and with no hesitaion I was offered generic for 16.00 or name brand for 28.00.

Went to the fridge and got me a bottle like nothing, one older lady asked if it was ok the younger girl knew right away it was legal.

I took generic, this is in the Midwest usa.
