Oats: Cooked / Uncooked.. does it matter?

Alright, I've been set straight about cooked vs raw eggs whites.

Now, before I waste more time.. does anyone know if there's anything wrong with eating uncooked oats, as in Quaker Oats? I can't imagine there is, but who knows.

I used to mix a cup of raw oats with a carton of egg beaters and blend it up into an egg white/oatmeal shake, which was really convenient.

The only thing wrong with raw oats is that they have the taste and consistency of cardboard.

i blend up my oats in the blender for a good 3-4 mins. put the oats in the blender alone... i use to put everything in the blender (oats, protein powder, water) and it didnt mix well...
