hello.
can experts please relate to OKG ( ornitine alpha ketoglutarate )?
It supposedly helps much in recupration/against catabolism; said to boost GH as well.
Short:
is that a good supplement, however a bit dated?

Is it worthless, no. Is it good? Well, there are other things out there that imo are way better and more cost effective. Plus you typically need to take this with arginine, at night, and on an empty stomach, yadda, yadda, yadda. I think it was mainly touted as a gh releaser, and didn't do too much for recuperation or anti-catabolism.

What are you looking for by way of supplementation?

For me, for recuperation, I make sure to get a good after workout meal, like 60 grams of protein with some carbs. Some bb'ers drink a coke right after to give them that insulin boost which aids recovery.

One supp that has caught my attention is nac (n-acetyl cysteine). It is a powerful anti-ox but is also supposedly an aid to combat catabolism.

Here it is said OKG aids in muscle recovery, ammonia scavenging ( thus an ideal partner for glutamine ) & anti-catabolic.
Suggested post workout.
I'll drop GH claims because too many substances WERE touted to raise it....perhaps 100g IV...
any other idea for single anti-catabolic supplements?
yes, i have a NAC order pending.
