One month on testosterone and feeling better but no libibo?

I've been on T for the first time for over a month now and can report that my energy levels are through the roof, no more brain fog and my motivation to do things has returned and no more headaches.

However still no increase in libido which is very low. I was given 1000mg nebido, I take zinc to help keep estrogen low. I know about SHBG however I've yet to test for it. I plan on getting blood tesed for it along with DHEA to check what levels they are. Though I take fish oil and DHEA but I don't know if that helps in that deparment. Also my thyroid is fine. I don't drink or smoke, my diet is improving and I'm back in the gym.

Any ideas of what could possibily help me to get back my libido?

I was thinking of taking tongkat ali as I heard it can help suppress SHBG leading to more free t but I'm not sure?

you got to look at estrogen man. If its too low or tow high it can affect libido.

I know from experience. My estrogen has been high and low and all over the place. I am still in the process of finding my sweet spot.

Cool bro. I will get it checked whatever it takes. However I'm from the uk and the doctors are unbelievably ignorant when it comes to checking this hormone.

When I asked my GP for the testthe other week, he asked me if I wanted to be a fucking women and said I didn't need it. Can you believe that?

Ask him if he is aware that testosterone converts to estrogen.. What I have learned over the past few months on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is that the biggest player for me in libido is estrogen.. If I forget to take my adex a couple times, my libido takes a hit for the worse.. Check your PM box

Yeah I'll look into that. That was my GP that was being major ignorant. I'm due to visit my private Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) doc this week but he tells me he doesn't worry about estrogen, but I will press him on the issue, because at the end of the day, it's my health on the line and it doesn't hurt him to check those hormone levels. Just hope it is that which is the missing piece in the puzzle. I'm almost there.

I would think if your private Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) doc "doesn't worry" about estrogen then he/she shouldn't be practicing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) on you.

I think Wolfman is right.. They'll charge you an arm and a leg (from what I hear).. But, I'm sure that they will take into account the way you feel and not just some lab reference ranges.. Best of luck to you.. You're right, you're almost there!

Yes I agree. However here in the uk I can't just drop him and go to someone else otherwise I would.

My t levels came back within the low normal ranges and only in my mid twenties, so the NHS wouldn't treat me let alone get me blood tests for E. I don't think any doctors in the Uk worry about testing for estrogen unless you're a women. That's how behind we are

I will be speaking to my Private doc this week and will demand I get the tests. It's times like these I wish I was in the US, as it's much better healthcare

Yep it's very expensive and I get charged consultation fee on top. This is why I will be demanding the test to be done

Hey CJw2021, sorry bro I received your pm but I try to respond twice and just found out I don't have pm privileges I think due to post count.

Yes, I believe u need 50 posts to pm.. But CJW knows his shit when it comes to HRT,so I would just do what he says for now:)

Nah bro, it's cool he wasn't giving me any advice on anything I asked him. He just had a quick question about the Danazol I was taking with my protocol. I just felt bad that I couldn't respond to him. I just didn't want him to think I was ignoring him. It's all good though. I guess I just need to build up my post count since I'm such a newbie here!
