Online Vendor Ordering and Payment Processes

I hate to be the newbie asking basic questions, but I am new to ordering gear online and I don't want $300 to just disappear into oblivion.

I am a little confused about the ordering process for online vendors (I am talking specifically about the larger vendors at ERoids). Do you place the order first and then go through the payment process? I am probably going to use MoneyGram, and I am curious if you can do the payments online by CC or if you have to go in to a brick and mortar store. I have read somewhere that doing the online payments requires to receiver to show ID or something.

I guess what I am asking for is if there is a step-by-step guide to the basic ordering process for the larger online vendors (specifically for MoneyGram payments). Or if anyone can share with me the process they use when ordering online. I don't need a vendor source, I know that is against the rules to ask for. I just need to know how people generally process an order.

2. I didn't say ERoids is an "actual steroid site," whatever the fuck that means. It is a site that rates online vendors.
3. It's true, I would rather not lose my money. Shoot me.

Do you really want your credit card/debit account linked to the buying of illicit goods? Yeah... didn't think so.

I'm not going to get into specifics as that too is crossing the line with regards to forum policy - but any reputable source will have very explicit instructions on how to place an order and how money is to be transferred. I advise you stick around and make some friends here. Eventually it will all make sense and you'll maybe even find a good source that won't rob you of your hard earned money. As Dennis said, never risk more than what you're willing to lose. It's just a fact of the game.
