Overdose on Clen? Read This...

This is mainly for if someone OD's on Clen, and they are using the search button to see what to do...

A good bro on MuscleNexus accidentally OD'd on Clenbuterol, and was given some good advice by a MOD (and Doctor) there known as Lunkhead, and he pulled through fine...

Here is what he said to do:

- This is the easiest thing in the world to fix: go to a walk in clinic or ER, tell them that you accidently took too much of your friend's asthma medication (you can say it's controlled release albuterol/salbutamol--- they won't know the difference) and they can give you a Beta-blocker like propanolol.

- It's important for them to know that you are NOT an asthmatic (I'm assuming that you are not) because they will get confused and not want to give you the beta-blocker for fear of provoking bronchospasm.

- A few mg intravenously will make you feel better right away and then you can take 80 mg twice daily for 2-3 days and then wean off it.

- They may want to give you activated charcoal to swallow (binds the clen) if it has been less than 6 hrs from the ingestion. Not fun eating that stuff, but worth it IMO.

- Eat a few bananas if you can. Clen will waste potassium like crazy and lead to cardiac arrhythmias.

- Definitely go in ASAP.

- You'll be fine.

Good read! Wish I would of had this when I took too much a while back. I was stupid and waited it out. Felt like it almost killed me. 12 hours later I was right as rain

thats one thing I would be extra careful with, good to know though. Also I do have bad asthma, so if I did ever have to go to ER what should I say.

Not sure bro...

I'm asthmatic as well, but I don't touch clen...

As Lunkhead said:

They won't want to give you the beta-blocker for fear of provoking bronchospasm....... is your asthma serious?

I would ask your Doc next time you see him bro, and report back to us :)

its pretty bad, would these beta blockers actually trigger the asthma attack or is it the sudden lack of the medicen that would cause an attack?

I'm assuming that it would be a combination of the two, but I'm not a Doc... so ask him bro....... same goes for everything else on these boards, always take what is said with a grain of salt, and ask a Doc.... :)

Thank you so f*cking much for posting this topic. I really think that it helped save my life Monday morning. It is crazy on how much some doctors dont know and even crazier that they wont listen to your advice at all. Here is what I was given at the ER

IPECAC- not sure what this was
Liquid Charcoal - He wouldnt give me this as soon as I went in becuase he said that my vitals did not show that I took x amount of albuterol. I told every nurse and doctor Clenbuterol, clenbuterol, clenbuterol, but they all assumed albuterol.
Valium- this was to reduce calm my body down they said.
Potassium- IV 400ml the first 6 hours and slowly dripped not sure how much more for the next 42 hours.

Thanks again guys.

Ipecac to make you upchuck any sitting in your stomach, or make you drop a duecer.
Liquid charcoal.. like stated above.
Potassium.. like stated above.

what doesnt make sense to me is the valium. Whyu would they give you a depressant (benzo) while on stimulants? I was under the impression mixing the 2 (up and down) is not a good idea.
perhaps i am wrong. Unless you were wigging out, and they were afraid you were gonna cause more problems cause of freaking ut.

I might of been a little wigged out but to tell you the truth I had to contain myself in front of my girl or she would have went crazy. He gave me the valium almost as soon as they inserted the IV and at this point he didnt believe me that I took clenbuterol. He kept insisting that I tell him if I had done ectasy or cocaine in the last 2 hours. Maybe they give V for overdoses of the harder drugs? Sorry about my typing it seems as though I forgot how to type since the event.

Maybe my vitals would help a little.
My heart rate when I got to the ER was 178 and at its peak about 2 hours later was just above 200. My potassium was at 2.1 when I got there and dropped to 1.9 if I remember correctly. The EKG machine said that my heart was starting to cramp or something during the most server time of my hypokalemia

Oh yea after the whole thing was done and I proved that I wasnt a druggy he told me that I had not been totally honest with him because they found high amounts of benzos in my urine. Then I had to tell him that he order the nurse to give it to me. He said "oh thats correct" so I am not sure if it was a mistake or what.

Why not just tell the doctor you took clenbuterol? I would rather he knew what was taken thatn making up some BS about taking something else. He cannot do anything legally other than try to help you with your symptoms.

I never told them that I took anyhting else but clenbuterol that is my main complaint about the ER. They all assumed that I ment albuterol and actually the ER doctor told me that he had never heard of clenbuterol.

Ok. Most doctors are a f'ing joke?!!

It was an accident bro a bad one at that.

I have not done steroids in probably 6 to 8 months or so but still have gyno pop up on my left nipple every so often. For some reason last week it got very tender so I started taking 50mg nolva and 2mg adex a day. Monday morning I went in and took my .5 ml of adex and 1ml of nolva like usual (the adex is 4ml per ml). I went back to my computer and drank my V8 and about 7 minutes later my fucking stomch dropped to the ground. I ran back in to the kitchen to see what I had taken ( I knew what I had done already) and it was as I thought .5ml of concentrated Clenbuterol.

Labelled uses for Diazepam (Valium):

relieve anxiety, muscle spasms, and seizures and to control agitation caused by alcohol withdrawal, to treat irritable bowel syndrome and panic attacks.

Guess the ED Doc felt the bro was "jonesing"

Glad 2 hear you're ok SW
