overtraining in terms of sets/excercises?

Hi Everyone,
So I just recently did my 2nd Test cycle and threw in some tren.
Stats
12 weeks 750 mgs (medistar) test and 50mg tren ace (medistar) EOD 8 weeks
197->228 in 8 weeks then cut down to 215 in the last 4 weeks

alot of this was water weight.

My main question is: Is it possible that I am doing too many sets and excercises that i am not gaining as much size and strength as others?
Point being my one friend put on 40 lbs and increased his strength massively with the same dosage 2 years ago with quite a few more cycles under his belt.
my strength only went from benching 225 for 8 to 225 for 12 and 275 for 2 to 7(peak).

For example my chest bicep day is as follows

bench 135x15
225X8 (x2)
275 for as many as i can ~5-7
Incline dumbell press
70's 12
80's 8
90's8
100's 5-6

switch to biceps
curls warm up with 25's
50'sX8
60'sX8
70 X7

preacher dumbell curls
45'sX10
50'sX8
50'sX8

Back to chest
seated wide chest (plated machine)
same pyramid style with weights
12
10
8
5-7

cable cross overs
same as above

cable flies

100X8
100X8
120X6

then spider curls(hang curls) for biceps
3 sets of 50X8

should I be doing less to grow more? is this giving more of an endurance style muscle growth?

Im training the same off now.
is this a bad idea?
