if i were to do shoulders a day after doing chest.. do you think i would be overtraining them??

i see a few splits that have shuolders the following day.

I don't do it simply for the fact that you are hitting the frontal delts almost twice in two days. That would be like doing triceps the day after chest.

To me your front delts would get overtrained. I have chest and shoulders two days apart in my split.

k thanks .... i think my split will look something like

mon - legs
tues - chest / bis/ forearms
wed - rest
thurs - shoulders
fri - back/ tris

look good?

I would use:
mon: Legs
Tues: Chest/Abs
Wed: Back/Traps
Thurs: Shoulders/Triceps
Fri: Biceps/Abs

Overtraining a specific muscle is basically the condition of causing excessive microtrauma and fatigue. A major symptom of this is substantial restriction of range of motion.

Overtraining in the traditional sense of the word (most common) is a condition of overworking the CNS, symptoms of this are lethargy, tiredness and overall feeling shitty.

If you feel that your shoulders are good to go, then there's no real probem with working them again.
