So I normally pin the old butt cheek but I wanted to try something new so I youtubed some shoulder injections and went for it, now there is pain in my shoulder and kind of running down my arm a little bit, I mean it's not like oh my god i'm going to die but it's definitely there and it's definitely uncomfortable. I'm just wondering is this normal? First time pinning the shoulder.. Is it something to be worried about or is it normal? For the record yes I aspirated.

Did you pin the deltoid? How many ml?
Regardless, it is common to have lost injection pain (PIP) after pinning a new muscle the first time. We call it Virgin Muscle.

Looks fine. It is just PIP from pinning virgin muscle. Delts are my favorite spot. Although I don't know how you aspirated -- I can only pin with one hand when doing my delts. And for what it is worth, aspirating is not necessary if you stick to the main injection sites.

Like Mega said its just virgin muscle you pinned and probably slight swelling that radiated into your arm, no worries.

If you were wiggling the needle around a lot while it was buried that can definitely increased PIP.
