particles at the bottom of my vial

This is probably a question that doesn't get asked much, but i have noticed particles in my vial , they came from the rubber at the top of my vial where you poke the drawing needle in, im down to my last shot in my first vial and im concerned about drawing up one of these particles and injecting it inside me. What is the dangers of a little peice of rubber possible being injected in me? i know its a strange quesion.... i'm goin to try my best to avoid drawin up those particles..

Yeah you don't want to inject those. Next time get a 18g needle and leave in in the vial so everytime you want to draw out attach a syringe then once oils in it attach a needle to inject. Those stoppers tear up easy.

Or

Peel off the crimp and pull stopper out then draw oil and put stopper back on.

If you have a syringe filter around, I would run it thru but if not you can get it all without picking up particles. Use a insulin syringe to get the last of it out. This will slowly pull the oil in and not allow the rubber to pass. Or be smart and keep extra around and pitch the last little bit.

thanks for the replies, once im done this vial, i'll be sure to leave the drawing needing inside my other vials, so i dont have this problem again.

User,

Is this considered a sterile method? I swab the vial with an alcohol wipe every time before I draw so how would this work?

There is no way I would do that. How do you plan on swabbing the inside of the needle hub and needle? Once opened and used your draw needle no longer sterile and you are leaving an open vial unless you put a barrel back on it. warm your oil before you draw cup of warm water or hair dryer and draw with a 23.
clean injection procedure is very important.
