Passed out during lab work this morning...

So I have passed out twice before when getting blood drawn. I am not afraid of needles or blood but I do not like passing out while getting my blood taken and well I went to get some lab-work done this morning and I passed out during it and it sucked. They didnt get all the blood they needed so they had to do my other arm and finish up. I plan on starting my first cycle soon and im not really afraid of needles but I don't want to pass out while im injecting, does anyone have any advice or knowledge of why I pass out? It really pisses me off because I have no control over it at all. Thanks.

Sorry man, but my first thought is that you are in denial about being scared if needles. Why else would you pass out?

"Triggers can range from fear and pain to standing for too long or even sneezing or going to the bathroom. Some people faint when they get out of bed or stand up from a chair."

I have not experienced but can sympathize. I assume it's not the blood loss, but a form of shock, BP collapse, etc?

Try headphones? blindfold? Local anasthetic at injection site?

How much did you eat on those days? That can affect it. But mostly like was said you need to admit the part that is scaring you before you can get over it.

Could be many different reasons for this but sometime the sudden drop in blood sugar from the draw can cause you to pass out? Hydration levels and contribute...make sure you drink plenty of water during your fast.

I'm really not afraid of needles at all so there is nothing to admit and you can call me a pussy if that makes you feel tough or helps you establish some sense of power lol but I really am not scared I watched her stick it in and the sample was half full and I just passed out and woke up sweating really bad and I couldn't talk or think straight for a few seconds. I believe the problem is that I'm scared of passing out while getting my blood taken and that's why I pass out. Its like I trigger it on myself, when I went in I kept telling myself to remain calm and that I'm not going to pass out and I thought I was fine I wasn't nervous or anything but I ended up fainting. I even asked them why it happened and how I could stop it but they told me that I cant stop it and that it happens to a lot of people all the time, but still it pisses me off that I cant control it.

See a psychologist. You need cognitive behavioral therapy. This sort of thing only gets worse as time passes if you don't confront it head on.

Maybe the sight or thought of blood makes you pass out?

He does need cbt but it is him doing it to himself because he is afraid of passing out. How do I know? I help people with change work daily

I help people get past their worst enemy. Themselves.
I could go by many titles but I like how success coach sounds

I would not recommend a psychologist because they would try to get more appointments out of you. Your issue can fix itself just as soon as you allow it

That didn't answer Megatron's question. But either way, if you work with people to better themselves then I know everyone here appreciates and respects that. It feels good to make a difference.

Change work = changing habits that block your success

I thought that I answered it but if not that equation should put our minds at rest

You stated you did 'change work', but didn't specify what it was. I mean yes, it's pretty evident going by the name, but just because you're familiar with the term, doesn't mean we are ;)

You know how it is around here. You're going to get kids reading this thread asking what PCT to do after they do a cycle of 'change work'.

Lmfao. I would never work with that clown. 1. He doesn't even lift. 2. I actually help people get a healthy dose of reality

Positive thinking by itself is mental masturbation
