Hi Chip,

My name's Nick and i'm nearly 25 years old. Like a lot of guys on this forum I suffer from low testosterone levels and have all the miserable effects of this. I have had this for over 5 years. Doctors have told me i'm within normal range (barely) so won't do anything about it at all. They don't understand how bad life is with no testosterone floating around in your system. I'm a massive fan of your work but unfortunately I can't get with Maximus Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) as I live in the U.K. I just wanted to ask if you knew any good people to see in the u.k or if you had any advice for me as i'm really stuggling at the moment? Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks for reading.

nick,
thank you for your desire to work with maximus hrt. You are correct, due to the fact that you are outside of the u.s. I cannot work with you. Since i am not the dr. It would be illegal for me to offer you direct dosing information from a protocol standpoint. On top of that, you have supplied no information in regard to your lab work which make it impossible fo me to assess anything at all. It would be like shooting fish in a barrel. Get some labs done and post them and i'm sure we can get some different ideas from the brotherhood as to getting you on the right track.

Hi Chip,

Thanks for the response. I really appreciate it. I'm getting full lab works in the next few weeks and will post the results up here and hopefully somebody can help me assess the results. Thanks again for your time. I know you're a busy guy.

YOU BET, BRO. I'M SURE ALL THE GUYS HERE WILL SET YOU ON THE RIGHT TRACK.

P.S. YOU DONT HAVE TO BE A CLIENT OF MAXIMUS TO WAVE THE BANNER. GRAB OUR AVATAR, IF YOU'D LIKE, AT THE TOP OF THE FORUM, AND MAKE IT YOUR OWN. YOU'LL BE THE "HONORARY UK TEAM MEMBER"! :elephant:

Thanks Chip. More than happy too :) . Always helps to spread awareness. We're all pulling in the same direction here. One more quick question. The most complete hormone test I could find here in the u.k is one that tests:

DHEAs
FSH
LH
SHBG
Testosterone
Free Androgen Index

Is this enough to go on at first? Thanks.

Welcome bro, we got you. As far as your tests go, try to get the following.

Test, Free Test, Estrogen (E1 E2 E3 if possible), TSH, CBC, CMP, PSA, and I would suggest IGF and GH levels. These are the things that Chip looks at when coming up with a protocol for his clients. I'm sure there are more. But keep in mind that it's important to keep an eye on your estrogen levels because high estrogen can be a pain in the A$$. Don't be discouraged bro, you're on your way to a better life.

Thanks for the information and the welcome spongy :) . I'll shop around to see if I can get something with all of them.

Hi,

After being messed about by doctors I finally gave in and had the test done privately. This was the most comprehensive test I could find (says a lot about the u.k). Please give me any idea of what stands out from these results if you can. I would really appreciate it. My score is on the left and the averages are in brackets.

Thanks

D.H.E.A Sulphate 9.3 umol/L (0.44-13.4)
FSH 2.7 IU/L (1.5-12.4)
LH 4.8 (1.7-8.6)
Testosterone 20.7 nmol/L (7.6-31.4)
SHBG 42 nmol/L (11-52)
Testosterone/SHBG Ratio 49.3 (24-104)

I could see you lowering your SHBG a bit. That will free up more test and might help you feel a little better. Maybe talk to your doc about Danazol? honestly, your overall test score isn't that bad. Problem may be with how much is bound up as opposed to free.

Hi Spongy,

Thanks for helping. That's what I was thinking. The only other thing that concerned me was my FSH score as I want to have kids some day. Do you have any experience with my sort of number as 2.7 seems really low?

Thanks.

mine's lower than that lol. I know HMG is supposed to do something with that, but i honestly don't know much about it.

I remember reading a couple posts a while back from people in the UK trying to find help. Search for those posts (the site has a pretty decent search function) they might give you some ideas. Hopefully some of those in the UK will chime in shortly with some advice.

I had a question for Chip that will hopefully be answered on here. I was filling out the information to contact you and saw that you only treat 30 and older. I'm 24 and just been diagnosed with low t. I think my doc is pretty inexperienced when it comes to someone my age and low t. He didn't explain what any of these are and what they mean. Maybe you could shed some light or help me. My last 2 blood test results are this :
Total Test: 226 ng/dl and 202 ng/dl
Free Test:5.5 ng/dl and 5.1 ng/dl
SHBG: 21 nmol/l and 19 nmol/l
Only have results from one test on the following:
FSH: 3.8 miu/ml
LH:3.4 miu/ml
Prolactin: 13.0 ng/ml
Free T4:1.16 ng/dl

How about you make a thread, asshole. Chip does not post here anymore either, and its all your fault.
