Proscar, how long till.........

I have been on 1/4 tab of proscar for roughly 3 months and still notice some shedding along with nizoral 2% eod and spiro. applied once a day. How long before you guys noticed proscars benefits and what would be the max dose of Test you would take along with it if prone to MPB?

Shedding should have reduced by now compared to before, but many users do not see real improvement or regrowth until up to 10 months, so you need to be patient.

if you want to use test I would take a whole 5mg proscar tab a day, and dont go over 500mg a week.

Thanks guys, I'm definitely not going to stop taking the proscar but after continous shedding, well........ I was actually looking into adovart(sp), seems like it might be better? Any opinions?

I've been on Avodart .5 mg per day for about 5 months and can't say that I've seen any improvement. But, as has been said, it can take quite a while to see results. In fact both dutasteride and finasteride can, in some cases, even cause an initial increase in shedding. I can't say about a max dose of Test but, I can report that I bumped my total T level from 258 to 689 after 2 weeks of 4-AD-EC (single dose per day) plus Arimidex (.5mg 3x per week) and my DHT which was down to 6 from the Avodart stayed at 6.
