protien farts???

am i the only one who gets these? does anyone know which protien powders wont make me fart up a storm the next day?
 
most everyone I know who consumes decent amounts of protien has this. All I can advise is beano. The shit actually helps
 
After upping my protein significantly I had the worst gas for about six weeks, now it has slowed down a bit. Have you changed your diet recently?
 
I know it happened to me with whey protein supplements, I don't take whey protein regularly anymore and they stopped for me. I can't say for other types of protein though. My main protein source now is meat, and I have no such worries. What type of protein you take may make a difference, but I'm not 100% certain if this is true, just my experience.
 
On protein, I have the ability to gas myself out. Usually one can tolerate ones own emissions, but after hearty portions of protein (esp from supps), the disgusting factor is elevated exponentially.
 
Protein farts and indigestion are caused by taking in more then you can process. Just take less......your wasting it anyways. Try some things like ginger and other digestive enzymes......you will be able to digest more with them.
 
also......slower digesting proteins like casein are more easily absorbed...and better to take anyways except for directly after a workout. Whey concentrate is also better the the higher grade stuff......digested slower so you get more of it. All the cfm isolate stuff gets absorbed so quickly that either you only take about 15-20g at a time or your wasting the rest. Your body can only make use of it so fast.....remember, it's not like your breaking down a steak or anything. You can slowly adjust your body to digest more at a time though.....try an amount that doesn't mess with you...then add about 5g to that per sitting......do this until it feels good,...and work from there. Hope this helped....there is a lot of misleading info about protein....more is not always better.
 
i ussually take about 20g of whey at one serving and i only take it once a day but thats enough for me to be wasting it i guess. Bimmer, i tried beano and it worked a little bit but not completely.

deadlift, ill try taking less because apparently i dont even need 1 serving/day, even after a leg workout. and for the ginger thing, if you digest more protien does that mean your muscles get more protien too?
 
ya....if you digest more you can use more. But remember you need carbs for it to work as well. What you don't used can be stored as fat also....that's another thing. There's going to be a limit to how much building your body can do at any given point, and that's obviously going to vary from person to person due to genetics as well other supps....juice too, dunno if you use it. You should try to shoot for 1g per lb a day....but it's always better to get that from real food.
 
Hmm.... no. The difference between concentrate and isolate is the amount of fat, lactose, and other shit in it.

As long as you have a high protein intake, you will have protein *stink* farts. I heard about using ginger root also, but when I took it, it didn't do anything for me.
 
that may be an allergy to the kind or brand of product.
i once suffered from it, then i tried many name brands & finally got one which i'm fully satisfied with: no gas, no cramps.
