PWO meal question

I've been trying to get cut up lately, and have been keeping a strict diet. I do cardio in the mornings, and weights late at night.

I usually have a protein shake with 40g protein in it, plus around 80g of clean carbs PWO.

My question is, since I go to the gym so late at night (usually 9-10pm), should I be consuming that much carbs so close to bedtime?

If you are lifting late at night, it is still important to take in carbs PWO. Is your last meal your PWO, or can you get another one in before you go to sleep?

I'm no expert, but I think it would be resonable to use a 1:1 ratio instead of a 1:2 ratio of protein:carbs if you are cutting and taking your PWO at night.

Use the normal ratio of 2:1...... and then have a PPWO meal an hour later. It makes no difference if it is before bed, as your body still needs it and will use it appropriately. If you are concerned, pop 100-200mg of R-ALA w/ Biotin and then hit the sack.

I think I could squeeze another meal in there right before bed. One more thing: does anyone know where I can get a good Ephedra stack?

Make your own....

200-250mg of caffeine, 81mg asprin, 25mg of Ephedrine.

You can add other stuff or replace the asprin with Yohimbe.... do a search. It's actually cheaper and works better than most over the counter ephedra free fat burners.

Thanks for the tip.

Question on carbs, I was planning on buying some dextrose for carb use PWO, but was wondering, is all that sugar bad if I'm trying to get cut?

No, when using dextrose immediately PWO it helps with muscle recovery and will not hinder fat loss. Just stay away from any type of sugar any other time during the day.

As long as you are on a calorie restricted diet you can eat your carbs when ever you want really.

I would not take as much as 80g of simple carbs after a workout, I choose to eat them as hole food during the day so I don't get hunger cravings.
