HI guys...I just started my cutting phase this week after bulking up to about 140 lbs over the winter.....Im female by the way. Im going to florida in a week and decided to do an all liquid diet to drop some weight by the time I leave. Im in the gym 5 days a week normally, along with doing morning cardio (2 days HIIT, 2 reg.) A week is very hard for me to do all liquid, so I bought some myoplex rtds...which I will have one in the morning after cardio, and the rest of the day whey. After reading about keto dieting, will this shake stop my body from entering ketosis in a week...since it does have 19g of carbs??? All input would be wonderful. Thanks!!

Why do you think you need to do an "all liquid diet" to cut?

What do you care more about? Your long term goals or this short term goal of cutting to go to "Florida in a week"?

This is a short term thing..something thats quick and extremely effective!!! After doing three days of liquid I look and feel much leaner. Im just wondering if I should stick with strictly whey since theres hardly a carb count......

Short term diets are never a good thing I remember watching a documentery on FAD diets they always drop weight at a rapid rate hit there target, and go back to eating like they did, some put on as much as 4lbs a day afterwards and ended up bigger than they were before, Due to the starvation therory.
Think about whats gonna make you happy in the long run, not just a quick fix.

I think you can use liquid to sort of kick start a diet. your're using it like fasting right? but like drako says it does not fix anything long term.

I fully comprehend what it does...and it is to kind of kick start my good eating habits again. Im not stupid and I know what fad diets do. All I want to know is if the carbs in liquid make a difference in whether or not your body enters the state of ketosis????

19g carbs per shake could stop you from entering ketosis, but with only a week to go, ketosis isnt going to make any difference anyway.

I would just go low carb in an attempt to lose some water weight. I would rather eat food and be somewhat satiated than drink it and not be satiated at all. In the end I cant imagine it making the slightest difference in appearance. Suffering more does not = better reults.
