question about donating blood

i've never donated blood before, as i have read here you should do it e8w well, when you go do they ask you questions about what medications you're on, like if I'm on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) would I tell them that and all the meds I'm on? What about in the past like when I was younger, I've smoked pot and what-not, will I have to tell them this? Would any of this disqualify me? If I get disqualified what happens? What's going to happen to my RBC if it's too high, have to get a doctors note for them to do it and throw the blood away?

They won't disqualify you for pot years ago or for DR SCRIPPED PERSCRIPTIONS (unless it's on the banned list which testosterone is not). They will ask you if you've done aas, has sex with a gay man, done illegal drug injections etc....

Just gave blood.. Mopar is dead on.. But, I still didn't admit to my Dr. Prescribed testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), just to avoid any confusion.. Most of us self inject and they don't really want to hear that out of fear you could be sharing needles

I went to donate blood at life source and got denied cause of my hemoglobin levels were to high..
I left there found an american red cross blood drive and they were excited to take my blood and probably would of took more.....LOL!

My doc wouldnt write a script either for me to get a blood draw since he thinks testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is not something we should be doing on our own, meaning we should be with an endo and not a legit place like Maximus.......:madflip: Its all about money for them, assholes had me on anti-depressants for my low t simply cause he never thought of checking my levels to see if i was low when i went to tell him i just wasnt feeling right anymore:redhot:. I hate doctors like that! OK RANT OVER!

GOOD LUCK AND JUST FIND A RED CROSS

alright well I'm guessing I'll just deny anything if they ask but, what happens to people that are on aas is anything they are using detectable? what if you deny something and they find it, say if you're smoking pot (i'm not) or juicing or if it was something else whatever it was and you denied it but, it was found can you get in trouble? or do they just throw it away? but, i guess they have a computer system and will flag you or something so you can't come back? again I'm not worried about anything, my main questions have been answered so I'll be fine, I'm just wondering that's all.

American RedCross requirements

click one of the 2 links right above the second red line. Can't miss them.

They love blood, and it can save 3 lives. They test blood for everything. They seperate everything from the blood.

The only thing that I see is that I won'y be doing, is going to the dominica republic.

I didn't tell them I was on HRT, but that doesn't exclude you anyways.

Yeah, don't worry. They give a list of medications that you can't be on. Testosterone wasn't on that list. I am on thyroid meds too and they didn't ask about that. They will ask you if you have ever used anabolics. Of course I said no. I also do acupuncture and they asked if I did that within the last 6 months?? I said no because they need to verify the acupuncture method the doctor uses to ensure that it is sterile. So they let me donate and everything was fine. No worries. Here is a link of the requirements. I went to United Blood Services:

I read that thing and it says to list travel, I went to UK and Netherlands last year, going to Europe shouldn't disqualify me? Should I just ignore it? I wonder what happens if you don't answer correctly and they find out.

Also if they seperate everything from the blood then why do they ask these questions like if you're on proscar or propecia you have to wait a month?

Just hit the link a posted, it specifically lists where is exceptable. FYI it has to do with malaria. Don't lie about where you've been. There could even be legal ramifications for killing somebody if you had malaria.

Just deny everything and let them change your oil. If they find something they don't like or harmful in it, they won't use it.
