Question mainly for 3j, The biggest loser show?

I don't watch the show, but always hear about it and see the before and after pictures of people online. Since 3j is the all things diet and nutrition guru, I was curious on what you thought about the transformations people on that show go through, and what kind of diet it takes to make a 450lb man turn into a 180lb man. I would like to hear feedback from everyone else too. I think it's pretty damn impressive for people to be able to do that, but I wonder how many people actually keep the weight off, and I wonder how someone can get so heavy in the first place.

the show is very motivating for alot of people so i will not shoot it down..

let me say this first though.. the way these people are made to lose weight is not healthy

.. when you drop that much weight that quickly you also have loose skin to deal with.. loose skin comes mainly from malnurishment when you starve yourself as your losing that weight

ill admit.. in the end those people are in a better place health wise.. but those that dont keep it off put it all back on plus some

I was wondering how healthy it was for them to lose that much weight that quickly, I would think their body would go into shock or something. Like I said, I commend them for what they are doing to better themselves, it is impressive. I just wanted to get an expert's opinion on what they were going through. Thanks!
