Where do people put deads in a routine? With back or legs? Do you do them first second or last? Do you do stiff leg only, bent leg only or both types?

Squats and deads on the same day? Try and see. lol.....

yep...If you can do squats and deads in the same workout...you aint doing something right!

Personally, i do deads with back...

I do them with legs and try to keep my legs as stiff as I can without making myself uncomfortable.

Ive tried all the combos bro. I just wondered which was the best and I would agree with you that on back day would be best. I actually stopped doing them because I injured my lower back but will be starting them again soon.

I do them with back always as the first exercise. And only bent leg deads. I did them on Saturday afternoon and my traps and hamstrings are still sore as hell...

depends on your plit. if you doin a two split many do squats and stiff legs on leg day. (once per week) then do upper on the second day. i seen some splits where the only leg movment was trap bar deads. I squat on mondays, sometimes sundays and pull deads on thursday. i alternate deads every week as well. one week full pulls, the next stiff legs, the next rack pulls. keeps me fresh so i dont overtrain. good luck UK. there is a routine in the sticky "do deads thicken waste" read the entire thread as there is some great stuff, a routine and some work outs posted. good question.

Thanks man.

I do them on back day. I have to do them last b/c they take all my energy. If I did them first I wouldn't be worth a shit on anything else. I do do traps after them though but thats it. Then I hit legs 3 days later.

End of day on back day for me as well. After my working set, I'm dizzy, disoriented, and 100% DONE with the gym for the day.

I do a deadlift variation every 3 weeks on Max Effort Squat/Deadlift day. :)

Sometimes I do sumo's as hip accessory work. I'm going to start adding Dimel Deads for lockout power once or twice a week. And since my pec seems to be better, I'll probably start doing speed deads on Dynamic Squat/DL day.

We may be cut from the same cloth :)

I do the conventional deads on back day. I put them first and go heavy for about 5 reps per set for 2-5 sets. No more than once per week and take a break from them as needed.

Stiff-leg deads should be on leg day. Probably the best hamstring excersise. If you choose to do SL right after squats, leg day will be very short.

Ditto. Same place I generally put em.
