question on procedures for home brewing

when drawing out the heated oil from the muffin pan into the syringe....won't the hot oil melt the syringe(which is made from plastic?) just wondering.

why are you heating the oil in a pan? its a wasted step. and yes if the oil is very hot it wil damge the syringe. itll blow the side of it out and then you burn your hand.

Ive had peg so superheated it put a hole in the side of the luer lock. Then some plastic made its way into the pin and I was just enraged enough to discover the Winstrol (winny) trick.
