I'm 34, and a semi-retired combat athlete (likely to have no more pro fights so drug testing is not an issue). I am recovering from shoulder and elbow surgery, I'm almost 5 months post-op and have been fully released as far as physical activity goes. I trained around these injuries for over a year and the result was a huge loss of muscle mass and strength (compounded by the natural effects of aging). Currently 180 lbs. and somewhat soft. Usually I am 190-195 and pretty ripped. This will be my 3rd cycle in my lifetime.
I've been prescribed: nandrolone (deca) at 1.5 ml. per week it's 200/mg/ml.
Quad test (sustanon 4 testosterone blend 1.5 ml. per week it's 250/mg/ml.
Stanozolol (winstrol) 1 ml every other day, it's 50 mg/ml.
Novarel (Chorionic Gonadotropin) 1000 units, 1 time per week.
Doctor tells me (after sending out my blood work for 2 opinions) my testosterone levels are very low, a likely result of crashing after surgery, so that’s why the test. The deca is to help the joints and ligaments, particularly the shoulder and elbow. The winstrol is because I have a tendency to gain weight the few times I took anything before and I need my muscular endurance for my chosen activities. He said the Novarel should be done throughout the cycle, not just for PCT.
I basically have 3 questions, I'd appreciate answers to, that the doctor seems a bit iffy on:
1) Do I need to take the novarel every week throughout the entire cycle? Most people I know (and I myself before) use it at the end of a cycle. But my doc recommneds 1000 units every week, through the entire cycle.
2) Should I begin the Winstrol right away? Doc says I should wait to see if I'm getting fat, losing endurance, etc. and then add it in. I have it here already though, and wonder if I should do it for the duration of the cycle?
3) Sustanon is recommended once a week, 1.5 ml a week. Should I do .5 ml every other day? I've heard (and done this before, supposedly sustanon is better every other day rather than once a week?)?
Thanks for the advice.
