quick protein question

your body will need less on your off days but it doesn't hurt to be taking in the 1g/lbs

You don't grow during your workouts. You grow during your time off of the gym. That is when your body repairs the damage of your workout and you grow.

That being said, you should always be giving your body protein so it has the necessary ingredients to make you grow and repair. That's why you need to eat a balanced diet, yadda yadda yadda.

Summary: Shoot for a minimum of 1 gram of protein per pound of mass you have. Spread it out eventually through 5-6 meals EVERYDAY.

Actually, there are many who believe in protein cycling.

Kind of like the debate on whether to keep hormone levels consistent or to alternate 'cruising' and 'blasting'.

i do this through de-fault..
i tend to get in roughly 180-210g (and have went as low 130g) of protien on non-trainining days and on training days i have between 250-300+g of protien...i am seeing good results this way. but never thought anything of it as far as "cycling" goes.
