Quick(somewhat), Effective, Healthy Cutting Plan

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on a good and somewhat quick way to cut weight but still keep my muscle mass. I know this sounds crzy, but summer and spring break are coming up. I only need to trim 20lbs or so at the most. So I am up for any suggestions.
 
How much cardio would you suggest? I work out with the team for about 2 hours a day and then go to the gym on my own at night. What cardio is the best? straight running?

will drop water weight at 1st and will still be able to maintain healthy muscle mass while cutting. be prepared to be lathargic (sp) at 1st as your body adjusts to A LOT fewer carbs.
 
I have used the Atkins before and it worked, I think that is was I am going to do again. Thanks for the input! I will let yall know how it goes!
