hey bud don't fall into the old i'm sore/not sore.remember soreness don't mean shit.it don't mean it was a good workout it don't mean it was a bad workout.it don't mean man i should go again today i'm not sore.look at the basic way your body works which muscles go with each other.do compound stuff then a little iso stuff take time to recover then go at it again.something like back/bi's/rear delts - legs/poterior core - chest/tri's/front,side delts.3 days of heavy compound stuff with a dash of iso stuff and your done.you can spend more time with your family or girlfriend,even throw in a couple cardio days if you want. i bet you do that you will grow better than ever and you will like it too!remember to eat/sleep.it aint rocket science real basic is the only way to go!k.i.s.s. keep it simple stupid!

Too much and work up a little heavier. 4x8 on deadlift means you aren't going heavy enough. If you can get 6 with the first set then add weight and get 8 then you didn't lift enough on the first set because you could have obviously gotten more. Try like 3 sets first one 8 then 56 or 6 then 3 or 4. Same with all compound movments you do. Unless you were using the same weight for each set it doesn't seem to make sense to do the same number of reps. If that was the case then really the first 3 sets are just warmups for your all out last 8 rep set.
