I never have done UGL's before , although I'm thinking of giving mamta a try.
My question is , since there are so many powders around , why not become your own Lab Tech ?

because its sloppy at times difficult and sterility is an issue.

Like I dsaid Ive been with the same UG lab for 2 yrs and couldnt be happier. No mess,cheap, trusted and ready to roll!
