Relationship between cycling and amount of calories

Hi all, Just thought id try get a discussion going on a topic that i've seen pop up quite abit now online and between friends.

A friend seems to believe that if you go on a lean bulk cycle like test and tren then you can bring your calories down to maintenance or a deficit and still make muscle gains due to the gear whilst losing fat.....

What are all your thoughts on this? does the saying " to get big you gotta eat big" go out the window as soon you mix in gear? What do you think would be the best diet type for a cycle like the above?

all matters on your goals mate.

when youre taking a superphyiological dose of anabolics, you can gain muscle on maintenance, just at a lesser rate than if you were on a surplus.
If you're taking tren, you can gain muscle on a cut - all to do with nutrient partitioning.

It matters what you take and how much really.

tren increases feed efficiency... thats why you can gain muscle while on maint calories.. also the nitrogen retention keeps your body from muscle catabolism.. which naturally occurs

if you want to recomp the best way to do it is with a carb cycle.. your nutrition has to be on point!!!

here is a perfect example with a recent client.. 6 month transformation.. he lean bulked with me.. i actually had him up to 6500 calories close to the end of the bulk

Do you think carb cycling on a maintenance or bulk of 500 cals would best suit the Test p and Tren A stack.

It would suit all of them. Again, it is fitting your diet to your goals. Diet is the primary driver of your cycle outcome -- not the specific compounds.

What cycles have you run in the past?

My first cycle was around 5 years ago ( 500mg of sus) made good gains but they were puffy watery.

second was testoviron with a little of tren hex ( again made some good leans gains )

i used 3J to sort my diet out and went on a 12 week cut followed by a carb cycle bulk ( Test E and Tren E) turned out to be bunk gear as i only made gains from diet ( this massivly hit my motivation and i let myself slip)

recently went on a sus and tren e cycle ( 750mg sus and 500mg tren e) this was probably my best cycle so far and immediately went on a cut to lose so weight for my blackbelt grading. now that i have my blacvk belt i want to gain no more than 10kg so im thinking of an 8 week cycle of test p and tren a. 100mg each EOD

I don't think you have to worry about gaining 10kg in 8 weeks if you manage estradiol. :)

i agree with tron.. 22lbs is doable in 8 weeks so long as youre eating correctly

Luckily i still have all diets from working with you including the carb cycle so im going to give this a go. Do you recommend for that weight gain to stick to a maintenance or a bulk?

if youre on tren i would start at 3500 calories and work my way up from there as needed...

shit if you want some coaching hit me up, since you already have the diet the price would be cheap
