Remember when u first started body building!!

I remember been chased by bullies after school 3rd grade,I was around 9 years old, I had a bike and I would put the pedal to the metal non stop all the way home, then I realized repetition and resistance of moving the pedal non stop made an impact on my quads, everyday being chased down caused my quads to fully develop, still I did not know this well untill my sister the dishwasher for a restaurant developed her biscep scrubing hard with resistance all the pans in the kitchen, again repetion resistance scrubing developed in her a well 13" gun fully ripped wow. I was Impressed & wanted that too,"that and seen rocky movies with my dad" so I experimented with reps, and resistance, everyday I would get a chair and curl bicep 20 rep in slow movement cause the chair was a bit heavy I would do this each arm, In 4 months I got small guns enough to Impress my P.E teacher, wow the power negative reps,. my question to u what made u start bodybuilding?

i remember i was 19 years old and i was bench pressing i wanted arnlods chest hahaha!, on each rep, i thought i was him lol,..

I was 17... Had been doing Traditional Chinese Martial Arts most of my life and was very lean about 127lbs at 5'8" and wanted to be bigger... I had picked up the book "Bruce LEe, The Art of Expressing The Human Body" and studied all the information in there and all the things he had done some of which helped revolutionize bodybuilding. Also had picked up the Arnold book, and an old Gold's Gym bodybuilding guide that my mom had left over from her competition days.. and then started hitting my complex's gym 4 days a week. Had already been supplementing for martial arts, so went up from there. Eventually hit 145 and at 18 joined a gym... did 2 sessions with the trainer before i got pissed because he was making me work with weight that was way too light. Went off on my own made my own split and went on my way building. Then joined a pro-wrestling school and had my eyes opened to so much more....

I'm not a bodybuilder, or anything close. I lifted with my dad when I was a teenager, but never seriously. I didn't eat right, or train regularly. I got into work and hobbies, got married, divorce, blah blah and was fat. I got into the gym, got back in shape, ate right, etc and loved it. Then I got hurt and laid on the couch for a year. Gained 50 pounds of fat, lost a lot of muscle. Now I'm back in the gym daily, down almost 30 pounds, the strength is coming back up, and I love it.

I started lifting when I was 13 after getting a hold of my brothers copy of Arnold's New Encyclopaedia of Modern Bodybuilding. I really got serious in highschool when I signed up for football and weighed in at 145 lbs. I got up to about 185 in 2 years (those where the days) before I tore my rotator cuff the summer before grade 12. I rehabed the shoulder but ended up going down to about 165. I worked out on and off after highschool but had a terrible diet. I ended up ballooning to 205. Two and a half years ago I got back in the gym, cleaned up my diet and lost 40 lbs. I have managed to bulk back up to around 200 lbs and I look and feel great. (well my wife says I look good) I am bulking untill I see 250 on the scale.
