RUI shipment w/o tracking update: Cause for concern?

I made two separate orders from RUI. Each separated by one day. However, I got my second order first and am still waiting on my 1st order to come through. This is what the tracking information gives me:

"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on [specified date] to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."

I have needles, a syringe, stane, and clen in the shipment. All of which are legal to mail in my state (as long as the clen and stane are for research). I was wondering if a delay like this signifies anything that I should be wary of?

Give them a few days and if you dont get anything, give them an email.

Sometimes usps doesn't update until after it's delivered.

You should be fine but like stiphy said if you don't get anything in a few days email rui. They will take care of it.

just fyi - what that means is that they electronically paid and basically told usps to be expecting their package. that email they send out is not an actual indication that its shipped. it could be over a week before the package is in the hands of usps.

update:
it is now past april 27 and no delivery of package nor change in tracking order information.
I thought RUI was hailed as being super fast with shipping...

im in the same boat. Ive ordered from RUI a few times and always received my package with in a few days. Today makes one week since I ordered and I havent received anything yet. I am planning on sending them an email if it doesnt come today.

I just checked my tracking number and its been shipped and on its way. It did take a little bit longer than normal this time. Hopefully youll get your soon. You should be happy with the product.

This is the latest status update on my order via USPS:

Your item arrived at 5:02 am on April 30, 2011 in" home city". Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

Just curious, as that is today's date, why wasn't my item shipped to my doorstep today? I figured if it showed up at 5AM, that it would be out for delivery since this is my home city post office. Perhaps I just have to wait til the next business day?
