scar tissue...should you be worried?

Ok, all this talk about scar tissue. Can we get some long term vets in here to talk about there existing/non existing scar tissue?

I'm just curious is all.

My thoughts are: yes, be concerned. But don't lose sleep over it. Rotate as many spots as possible to help mitigate the issue.

ever thought about insulin syringe backloading??

there is a sticky on it in the anabolic section.. im on hrt and only use insulin needles to inject.. its freaking great..

3J, how much are you injecting at a time with a insulin syringe? What size insulin syringe are you using for pinning and are you pinning SubQ or IM?

I'm assuming 3J you're using Test Cyp, does anyone know how Test Enth would go in a slin pin? I was under the impression that Test E is a thicker oil.

i think they will both work just fine

Most test is either 200mg per ml or 250mg per ml, so 1/2 cc would be 100mg or 125mg. Should work just fine for you.

Well I can not speak for UGL or anyone else's perscription but the pharmacy grade Test Cyp I get from my CVS is 100mg per ml, I get exactly 10 injections per vial.

so inject 1ml.. or just short of 1ml... whats the problem?? 100iu is 1ml

My pharma grade prescription is 250mg per ml, guess I got lucky.

No, never tried the insulin backloading. I figure if i'm going to shoot IM, then it doesn't really matter between insulin size and 23g...still going deep. It's not that big a deal really, for me. I rotate quads, delts, and glutes weekly. I use 23 g 1" for delts and quads. 23g 1.5" for glutes.

my pharma grade from walgreens is 200/ml.

I've also heard that the smaller the barrel and the smaller the pin, the more pressure is built up when injecting the oil and that pressure itself can cause scar tissue. So I think there are trade-offs to both methods.

Pressure shouldn't increase scar tissue. Injection technique (i.e. moving the needle around once inserted), the gauge of the needle, the length etc. is what causes scar tissue to build up. Rotate those sites.

I have heard this as well. Can't say how accurate it is though.

Is there a general consensus that 3 weeks between injecting the same site, should make scar tissue a non issue?

I've been on TRT for 3 1/2 years and have always injected in my glutes. Over this time period I have injected .5ml to 1ml every 5-7 days, always using a 1" 23g needle. I have no scarring whatsoever. :dunno:
