Schwarzenegger says body building / steroids contributed to cheating

In his book coming out today I think, Schwarzenegger dumps some blame for all his affairs on body building culture and steroids. He says it put him in a frame of mind where cheating was easier, because of the life style he slid into. We have discussed this before, if steroids make you more prone to cheat, or if the entire culture and lifestyle surrounding it also contribute. There were many strong opinions on each side of the fence. I personally think that roids and the associated culture does make it easier to cheat in your committed relationships, for many obvious reasons. But it is also rather individual as others would never be swayed regardless.

bro he loved steroids hes sayin all that shit now cause hes old.tryin to look like Mr. clean and make money off the dumb

I've lost all respect for him, he's in a good possition to change the publics opinions of steroids instead he chooses to say bad things about them.

Correlating the two is a stretch - the guy achieved massive success (because of genetics and steroids) and girls were thrown at him, all day every day. Of course it was easier to cheat, and he did. Often.

Like Tiger Woods, almost impossible to turn down hot new poon-tang, especially when they are throwing themselves at these guys daily. Not sure how you stay faithful with that onslaught.

It's easy to have good morals when u have no real money... people like tiger and Arnold and whoeverelse u want to throw in there, tbings r just different when u r on that level. Thing is most people can't even comprehend what it would b like so they just like to point the finger to make themselves feel better.

He gave an extended interview for 60 minutes on Sunday, much more of which is on NPR and CNN websites (The 60 minutes version is about 22 minutes). You can watch that on line too.

Joe and Ben Weider have a big role in his post Austria character development.. those two epitomize everything that was done wrong in the 70-80's, mostly on purpose to make money, with body building and Arnold in particular. I loath those two, everything they touched was diminished in one way or another.

arnold has been a less than stellar representative for bodybuilding. he basically took what he needed and moved on. instead of taking the opportunity to make people better understand the sport and things we do in our sport, he is just another one pointing the finger and excludes themselves, even cops outs on why he did what he did. oh and please dont anyone start saying that the arnold classic is him giving back. thats another nice lil cash cow for him.

its true & false at the same time

he has lived his whole life as a AS addict ... that is true

but he was rewarded every step of the way

& yes he probably had Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) & plenty other gear making him horny as hell at times, but he has an impulsive , risk taker/thrill seeker personality as well .

but he wouldnt be the first guy to get more horny on gear, more than half of this board has admitted to that

Fuck that if your a cheater your a cheater, yeah steroids will make you hornier but you make you own decisions regardeless and your responsible for them. Theres no blaming this or that for your choices. Arnold is a trader.

Got to have respect for him. Hell, who else do you know in the BB world that came out officially and has admitted to the use of steroids..Became the best in the game. Became a well known Actor. And to top it all off became Govenor.

People's opinions change over time. Maybe he truely believes that gear is wrong now....
