My morning test level is 618 ng/dl and after 4 in the afternoon its 290 ng/dl. However I've just got back my shbg results and its 46.8 and the top end of range is 48. Could this high shbg level cause problems. I have low T symptoms but test is at 618.

Hey Joe. To answer your question, it's possible. SHBG binds to testosterone and keeps it from being "Free." Free Test is one of the things that most Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) specialists look at because that's going to determine how you feel to a certain extent. Having normal test levels and low free test can be just as detrimental as having low test.

I would suggest getting in touch with someone like Chip. also, that's a pretty sharp decline in T levels throughout the day. I would say you have Low T my friend.

Thanks bro. Just got results back for my latest T level at dinnertime and it's 342 ng/dl.

So it seems as though it starts out ok in the morning but drops like a rock as the day progresses. I may look into making an appointment with chip.

i would do that for sure brother. Test levels are always higher in the morning so there's going to be a drop, but that seems pretty significant. I'm sure others can explain it better than I can, but Maximus would be a good place to look in terms of solutions.
