Hey ...

If someone bumps up their calorie intake from (let's say) 2000-2500cal/day to about 4500-5000 cal/day and find himself visiting Mr. Potty 6 times per day more than normal; is the body benefitting from the high intake or are most of the calories going to waste before being beneficial.

***Somehow I feel this is a reasonable question***

You have slowly increase your calories over time. If you throw 2x the amount of calories into your body, of course it won't like it.

You might want to look into picking up some Ginger Root as well.

easto is correct also papaya enzyme taken with your meals will help you digest the food

Bro as long as your absorbing the nutrience from the food it's not wasted. I agree with easto, increase your intake slowly, 500 claoreis a day for 1-2 weeks.

I know I said for you to go up to 4000 a day and you need to, do it slow, but do it.

when you up your food intake too fast, usually the opposite thing happens. you get constipated. especially if youre taking in too much protein. but to answer your question, as long as the food isnt coming out in the same form it went in, the body has taken what it needs. youre fine.

i know i drop some serios dumps when eating big. Hella poops be getting busted out my ass.

Water and fiber will help this. Add some bene-fiber to your shakes

Whole wheat bread has some good fiber in it. The RDA for a 2,000 calorie diet is 20g of fiber so you should strive for 40g of fiber a day to aid digestion.

My digestion has always sucked! I would KILL for regularity. I have researched digestion for a while now and tried just about everything, probiotics, enzymes, etc. Fiber is a tricky thing too, if i eat 5g's of psyllum i turn in to a natural gas facility and I MEAN it. I have been kicked off the ice it soooo bad and i get nothing from it. Millers wheat fiber constipates me horriably. Raisin Bran is ok...currently im trying papya and l-acidopholus and l-bifidum and trying to keep my meals smaller.
