Shut up and Read

One thing I see quite often is new members joining and immediately posting very basic questions. This drives me nuts! The reason I get frustrated is because 9 times out of 10 the question they ask is often answered many times over in the past. I don't post very often, but I check out the site probably every other day. If I have a question I check out the different forums and search for my answer before making an entire new thread. I see it all the time, somebody makes a post and it gets tons of views but no one responds. Then they bitch that no one is helping and get all pissy. How about you take the time to research it before you post the question? New people often accuse the Mods of being bitchy or unhelpful, but my thoughts are they are tired of answering the same shit everyday when there is tons of information already on the topic that they have already taken the time to answer! Sorry to vent, I just get tired of seeing the same questions over and over again.

I do agree, I wish more new users would do some of there own research before throwing out very basic questions.

but atleast we all learn.

What pisses me off is guys with attitudes like yours......!!!

This is a "Discussion Forum" for fuck sakes. Almost every possible question has already been answered, so if everyone simply searched for the answer, what have we got?

An encylopedia, not a discussion forum, as there would never be a new post.

BWAHAHAHA>>>>>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stone I said basic questions. Of course there are specific questions unique to certain cycle doses and combinations, as well as PCTs and macros meticulously calculated for maximum results, but that isn't what I was referring to. I don't have a negative attitude and im always trying to help out if I can, but repeating the same info over and over again becomes redundant and frustrating when the information is available if they just took a minute and searched for it.

i can understand some of your frustration but just as Stone said this is a forum, and open forum at that to where questions and answers are correlated together.

i know that the simple search and research method would work for most questions, but as human beings i think "most" want to feel individualized. Not just finding an answer but asking or placing a post hoping to get answers regarding their specific issues. And even though i may find the answer fast as might you, a lot of people want to feel as if the attention was directed towards them so they feel more confident in what what they are asking and the answers they are getting

just my 2¢ on the matter...

Well I guess I need to adjust my way of thinking on the topic. Growing up I was taught that if I had a problem or question, i should try to find a solution on my own before asking for help. This doesn't mean I don't ever ask for help, but I try to figure it out first before not even trying and just asking. I'm not a negative person or anything, so when more than onr person is saying the same thing I have no problem admitting I was wrong. Stone it seems I have the wrong attitude when it comes to this topic. You're absolutely right about it being an open forum.

Your preaching to the choir, it will never stop..there will always be people that want to be spoon fed everything.

I agree... If people can't come in here and ask what you may think are basic questions then what the hell is the point of a FORUM....

Well for people who have been here for 9 years like stone and myself I will say THe attitude need to be parked. This thread is laughable at best considering your have 48 posts. THe point is to read and ask questions make friends ask more questions. This is a great post. We all learn from eachother. I do a ton of research on my own but the things I need help with many members on ology have helped me. That is why I pass on what was freely given to me. What I do know I help people with and what I dont know others help me with.

Lord knows Ive asked my share of stupid or redundent questions. Im sure the reasons vary from person to person. For me its usually time and trust. Im married with active children, a house that doesnt repair itself, and a very demanding job. Im sure that Im not the only 1 in this boat. Those are the time issues among random bullshit that pops up everyday and trying to squeaze in my workouts. So sometimes when Im barreling down the interstate and I have a question I just throw a thread out there and TRUST my ology family to provide me with the answers Im seaking. Though some are having there period that day LOL I tend to get the answers that Im looking for. All that being said I will research the answers for my questions if the answers I get arent satisfactory for me but the ology crew generally steer me in the right direction.

As I said in my previous post Dread Pirate after hearing other people's views on it I admitted I was wrong. I genuinely enjoy this site and have found it very helpful in doing my own research for my specific needs. As I said in my original post I do not post a lot, so my number of posts isn't as important to me. I feel there is no need to post if the information is already available to me. I joined a couple years ago, so I have had plenty of time to post more than 48 times. I think I have a different view towards this topic than most as I prefer to try and figure it out on my own first before reaching out. In no way was I bashing the site. I have learned quite a bit just from reading posts from Mods, and when I read new posts from others I recall that the questions they have we're already answered in stickies. For example many diet questions can be answered in some of 3j's stickies. Just as many questions about getting stronger can be read through many of DaDawgs posts as he has a tremendous amount of knowledge on building hardcore strength. Anyway the point I was trying to get at was I feel new users should take the time to read and search for their answers before they ask the same question that has been asked 20 times over. I completely acknowledge the unique and specific questions that require an in depth response from a senior member/vet or Mod. But hey, that's just how I saw it. Again, I realized a came at this the wrong way.

I* came at this the wrong way. Damn iPhone changes the words I don't want it to and leaves the words I mess up.

Reading through this entire thread again I see I sound like a dick. I mean no disrespect to anyone. My apologies to the Mods I pissed off
