Sick dudes working out at the gym.

Hardcore, I did I feel kinda guilty missing a day at the gym.

That's the exact reason why I go....I know the people I look up to will hit it hard cold or no cold. Now if I've got a serious infection or something that's a different story.

I generally take some time off when I am sick as I can make my cold worse by working out. At least for me. For those that workout while sick........WASH YOUR FUCKING HANDS!!!!

I work out at a few city facilities mainly, and they are frequented by the craziest of crazies in the mornings when I typically work out. 9/10 are spastic, OCD equipment washers who LITERALLY carry one of the dozen or so spray bottles of disinfectant around with them and either a personal towel or washcloth, wiping down every machine before and after they use it.

I used to wipe things down fastidiously but realized I was wasting my time because these germophobes didn't trust my clean job anyways, and re-do it themselves.

Now if I'm ultra sweaty and finish benching or something I'll still wipe up after myself, but a quick set of seated calf raises, leg extensions or dumbbell presses I don't even bother anymore.

I def wash my hands frequently and disinfect to the best of my ability. Gyms are notorious for being breeding grounds for stuff even if no one is sick but I at least try and keep my shit sanitary.

If you miss a workout over a cold...

You're not a meathead, and you should spend that entire day shoe shopping with your wife

I've done the shoe shopping with the girl before ...led to some thank you sex for me so I'd certainly do that again :D hahaha

That's the worst when the gym closes hahaha. Thankfully my training is easily adapted to such circumstances.

This has been killing me lately. Between Christmas, New Year, and two closures due to extreme weather, the gym has been closed four days in the last two and a half weeks. I have a fair amount of weights in the basement, so I don't completely skip my workout, but it's not the same without all the proper equipment.

It all depends dude, if its a head cold then there is no need to skip days, i find fighting through that help me get over the cold faster. Now i would take some rest days i u have the flu or a fever or something of that nature, workin out with those types of things will only make it worse, plus ur gonna infect the gym and get other people sick and thats not cool.

Same here as well as having a totaled car and car shopping during the holiday season but I can switch my days training pretty easily.

I tell mine no, then surprise her with a bed full of roses & myself nakid with a bow-tie

It's a win-win all around

As long as we're all getting some ass then it's all good isn't it :D
