First off Happy Holidays to everyone! Well this really sucks Im 10 weeks into my cycle and my son got sick and brought it home to share. Im thinking its just a cold because i don't have a fever but coughing and congested really bad. I woke up this morning and my sheets were soaked with sweat. really a shitty way to wake up. Anyway I'm just not sure if i should train or take a few days off. I feel like i could lift but not sure if that's the juice talking ;) I'm starting a new job Thursday and not sure how late my hours will run yet so i may miss a few workouts until the weekend, if i take off the next 2 days and Thurs - Fri I'l end up going 4 days without lifting and not sure if that will affect my cycle. Im just wondering how you guys go about it, also, I have like 0 appetite. i manged to eat some eggs and oatmeal this morning with a pork chop but i wonder if i cant get food down if whey protein shakes will help get me by. I know on cycle its all about the protein synthesis. Any input I could get would be great. BTW my cycle is 600 mg/ test e on week 10

Testosterone supposedly decreases immune function. No one can really say. We aren't doctors. If it's just a cold, training won't kill you. I would probably just lift through it.

I've been sick for almost a week and just now getting over it but I'm on too much gear to take a week break so I pushed through it. My personal opinion is to always listen to your body.

Yeah, it's all relative. If you feel like you are dying, you are weaker in the gym, and really tired and run down, do what clman says. If you feel mostly okay, and just got some sniffles and you want to make the most out of your cycle, then follow J4L's advice.

Thanks guys. Yeah I'm going to take today off and tomorrow see how I feel. maybe at least do a arm workout and go lighter weight with higher reps just to see how i respond. Was supposed to be back day but i can skip it because my traps and lats are starting to look a little over developed. Its been a great cycle so don't want to mess anything up the last few weeks. People are starting to take a double look at me at my gym. I've put on about 20 lbs far.

I was sick like that a couple weeks ago and on cycle. I decided to take three days off. On those days I just rested and ate very well and drank water non stop. Giving my body a break from the constant beating of the gym gave my body time to heal and let it fight off the sickness. My first day or two back I went light but got a great pump. I was back at hit hard after that. I feel if I kept lifting while that sick i would have been sicker longer.

yea makes since. I guess really your body has enough stress fighting off the virus and you add on beating it up more at the gym could easily become counter productive. Damn i hate being sick:mad:

Youre gonna know you body best, if its just a cold id push through it. If you have no appetite though and cant eat id take a couple days rest, youre only going backwards in my opinion if you train without enough gas in the tank as well recovery is going to be harder and take longer due to the fact you cant eat and also the fact that youre body is already busy trying to fight off whatever is going on. Theres nothing wrong with a few days off and a full recovery, i take 3-4 day off in a row once a month, you get a full recovery and when you go back your solid as a rock!!

x2 unless im really fucked up and puking or running hot im going to lift even if its a light lift you don't want to waste your gear.

^^^^ Most definitely this .. No need to pass it on to other people at the gym .. What I usually do is try and get food down and rest up..

I agree. Stay home. Ive actually gone to the gym really sick once and paid the price. Passed the fuck out after a set of legs and had to lay down for 20 minutes before I could get back up. Plus I realized how inconsiderate I was for being in the gym spreading my germs. Lol. I laugh when guys think missing a couple days of lifting will completely set them back. It's hilarious. We forget how important rest is for our bodies too.

If you're still feeling bad tomorrow, I would take a couple alka seltzer cold plus and try to get a good 10 hours of sleep.. I don't get sick very often, but when I do that stuff always knocks it out in a day for me and I wake up feeling 100% better the next morning.. Hopefully your feeling better though. Happy Holidays bro
