I have been lifting for years but came from a competitive cycling background and never worked my legs in the gym, depending on cycling, still, for muscle growth.

I read up on proper deadlift technique and added a 3x10 set with today's back workout. Thought I was going to hurl from anerobic debt. That never happens for me in the gym - usually only with intervals.

Now I'll be reading up on other "basic" lifts I've been neglecting.
 
Now I'm sore. Fucking sore. Fucking, oh I forgot I had THESE back muscles sore. I turned on the seat heater on the drive home today. The muscles in the middle of my upper back are sore. Parts of my abs hurt. My friends were shocked that I would do such a dangerous exercise. I thought I was over the newbie soreness years ago.

It's now on the Wednesday list.
