face pulls are the shit, my rear delts are fried. And they hit that part of the traps that are tough to get with shrugs. I didn't realilze it until i left the gym, this destroyed my rear delts like nothing i have ever done, i highly recommend them. :)

Hell yeah. That's almost all I do for rear delts anymore. You can even vary the angle you're doing them. Do them sitting, standing and pull from face height, standing and pull from floor height, etc. Glad it's working for you bro.

i am unfamiliar with this excersize. can you explain to me how to perform this or give me a link? thanks a lot, i want to blast my rear delts and lats every chance i get!

I usually do them like this. I sit down in the lat pulldown machine. I usually use a rope. Grab the rope and lean back a little. Pull towards you, to the middle of your face. About nose or mouth level. Keep your elbows turned up. You should really feel it in your rear delts, and traps.

I've also seen people do these on the seated cable row.

Do you use an overhand grip on the rope?
