I've been working out for a few weeks with my buddy now. I've been doing a lot of reading and am trying to lean as much as I can so I can get the best results. I wasn't aware until I learned on this forum that you can over work yourself. I don't know how to tell if I'm over doing it as I'm new to this and I'm usually soar as hell everyday and just thought that was par for the course. I'm a small guy, 6' and only about 138 lbs as of now. Could you guys/gals take a look at my routine and see if it's okay for my level? I do the most weight I can, sad to say it's not very much. I'm going to save myself the embarrassment and just put the exercise I do and not the weight I'm doing. lol
Monday: I do 3 sets of 8 on everything I can.
Bench Press
Incl Bench Press
Dips
Skull crushers
Decline DB Butterfly
DB Butterfly
Tuesday:
Pull ups
Bent over row
Seated row
Wide grip pull downs behind
Wide grip pull downs front
Preacher curls
Barbell curl
Wednesday I take off
Thursday:
Squats
Lunge
Leg extension
Calf raise 3 x 15
Friday:
Military press
Upright row
Shoulder press
Lying Rear Lateral Raise
Barbell shrug
Behind back BB shrug
Sat & Sun off as well.
Let me know what you all think.
