So Finally went to the clinic today and got prescribed (need input!)

So finally today was my appointment consultation at an "anti-aging/hrt" clinic.

First a little background of myself. 19 years old with low testosterone as a result of genetic factors and prohormone abuse. Used to be 6'0 215 pounds @ 6% bodyfat and trained strongman with a personal trainer/professional strongman. So i've always known a thing or two about working out, dieting, and hormones. After fucking my hormones up by abusing PH's 3 times, I've dropped to 185 pounds and 13% BF. No sex drive, ED, sharp lose of mental focus/memory, lethargy, etc. etc.

After dealing with an incompetent urologist for a month, my problem has finally been diagnosed as a hormonal issue.

So, this doctor I met today told me he does not want to prescribe me test cypionate at 19 years old because he does not want me to be dependent on test for the rest of my life. He said he would not want my balls to shrink, or have fertility issues later when I consider becoming a father. He said if I were 60 years old it would be no problem. Despite arguing with him and saying I really would not care to be on test my whole life, and I'm not worried about having kids for another 15 years, he refused.

Instead, he prescribed me Sermorelin Forte, a GH booster, which I have to inject daily. Cost? $299 a month. I told him I could not afford that, so he waived the consultation fee so I could try Sermorelin for a month, promising me that I'd love it.

Luckily, he also prescribed me Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) @ 250IU injected every Mon, Wed, and Fri.

Ideally, I was looking for Test Cypionate @ 200-300mg/weekly plus Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) injections. But I could not get that unless I do not have good results with the GH booster first, or if I switch to Maximus (which from the price list of chip, would be WAY cheaper anyway)

What are your opinions on the protocol I was prescribed to?

Also, a question for all you out there who are prescribed and covered by insurance...how did you get prescribed? This clinic I visited today, along with online ones such as Maximus, all charge without insurance. I have high-quality insurance with only a $10 copay. If i were diagnosed with hypogonadism I'm sure it would be covered. Would I have to be prescribed by an endocrinologist/urologist in order to have my treatments covered by my insurance??

If u really do have low levels try it for month and see what happens. If it works great, and if not tell him ur ready to move to the test. If he still refuses get a 2nd opinion. It's always good to weigh options before committing to it for a lifetime. In regards to the kid issue. Your 20, of course you dont want kids. I'm only 5 years older and me and my wife are planning a child soon. What's the point? Mentality changes over time, even a short period like 5 years. So give it a try first dude. You don't really have shit to lose unless your obsessed with taking aas, then who can really stop you?

Plus, you never want to limit options in life. By jumping on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) your future woman may be getting impregnated by donor sperm. Thats not cool, esp since it would be basically your fault.

Yeah, but can being on HRT really permanently make me infertile? I thought the whole point of adding HCG to your treatment was to keep your natural test production up, keep sperm production up, and prevent your testes from shrivelling up to the size of peanuts..

And don't get me wrong, I'm not obsessed with taking AAS. I'm not faking this or doing this just to get legally prescribed cycles. I legitimately have a problem, and it's causing serious problems to my physical and emotional health. I want testosterone because I want my life back the way it used to be...
